Saint Antonio was named after the Saint Antony of Padua. San Antonio founded in 1718 is the second most populous city of state Texas and the seventh most populous city of United States. It is the fastest growing city with respect to population. San Antonio has numerous places of attraction especially Alamo Mission Museum and River Walk is the biggest attraction of tourists. Sana Antonio covers the area of 1205.4 km sq with a population of 1,492,510 according to 2017. It has frozen nights in winters and hot weather in summers.
10) Alamo Mission in San Antonio
Alamo Mission is a legendary fort and Texas history museum which covers the area of 5 acres. It was built in 1744. Alamo Mission is a part of San Antonio Missions World Heritage site. In 1836, it was a site of Battle of Alamo and today it is a museum. Alamo is the important and major history structure of the state Texas. Four million visitors visit Alamo every year. Visitors visit chapel and museum having weapons, paintings, and other artifacts. Texas General Land Office is the governing body of the Alamo Mission.

Sea World San Antonio is the world largest marine life theme park. Sea World Texas was the previous name of the Sea World Antonio. It was opened on May 27, 1988, and covers the area of 250 acres. It welcomed 75,000 people on its grand opening. Killer whales are the main attractions of the visitors. This aquatic park has also dolphins, Beluga Whales and California Sea Lions. 8) Majestic Theatre
Majestic Theatre is the largest and oldest theatre in San Antonio. It was opened in 1929. Theatre was designed by John Emberson and has the capacity of 2311 seats. The décor of the theatre is Mediterranean Style. It was the first air-conditioned theatre of the state. Majestic Theatre is a National Historic Landmark and home to the Broadway in San Antonio series. This theatre offers a variety of live concerts, theoretical performances, and also private events including weddings, anniversaries and dinners. Theatre also hosted Presidential State dinner to President George Bush in 1992.
7) Medina Lake
Medina Lake is a crescent-shaped reservoir on the Medina River located in northeastern Medina County and southeastern Bandera County almost 64 km northwest of San Antonio. It was impounded in 1913. Lake is 29 km long and 5 km wide with the area of 21.96 km2. A depth of the lake is 152 feet. Lake is activated by Medina Agricultural District. There is a variety of fish in Lake including hybrid striped bass, largemouth bass, white bass, catfish and carp whereas recreational fish had disappeared due to famine conditions.

AT and T Center is a versatile stadium of San Antonio and was opened in 2002. The construction cost of the arena was US$186 million. It is the home ground of the National Basketball Association, Women’s National Basketball Association and American Hockey League. AT and T Center has the capacity of 18,418 seats for basketball, 19,000 seats for concerts, 16,151 seats for ice hockey. 5) Muslim Children Education and Civic Center (MCECC)
The mission of MCECC is to impart Islamic education to the Muslim community of San Antonio. Their desire is to communicate with the non-Muslim community to understand the religion of each other to help and serve the humanity. Muslim Children Education and Civic Center offer many services like free medical clinic, marriage ceremony, general counseling, financial assistance, funeral services, legal-arbitration services and business matching services. MCECC has five committees; Public Relation Committee, Women Affair Committee, Reverts Affair Committee, Youth’s Affair Committee, and Medicine and Health Committee. One of the main programs of MCECC is Sunday school.
4) San Fernando Cathedral
San Fernando is one of the ancient Cathedral of the United States located in Downtown. It is also known as Cathedral of Our Lady of Candelaria and Guadalupe and listed on National Register of Historic Places. Cathedral was built between 1738 and 1750 and was designed by Francois P. Giraud; Dielman and Leo. The beautiful Colonial architectural style of the church attracts the visitors and tourists. More than 100 weddings, 100 funerals, 900 baptisms and countless special events are performed every year. San Fernando Cathedral also includes involvement in annual events like Fiesta Week.
3) Cala Vadella Beach
Cala Vadella Beach is a small cove, spread over a hillside of San Antonio. It is a 25-minute drive from San Antonio. The exceptionally sheltered nature of bay attracts the families in low and high season. Beautiful sunset, an outstanding assortment of restaurants, beach bars and great views of the bay attract thousands of visitors and tourist every summer. 1) Natural Bridge Caverns
The largest most moneymaking caverns of U.S. state of Texas named as Natural Bridge Caverns was discovered in March 1960. It is located near Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch. The humidity rate of Natural Bridge Caverns is constant 99 percent with 21 degrees Celsius temperature. It is formed by a secretive river that flows slowly through cracks in the limestone. The undeveloped portion of caverns is 230 feet deep. Natural Bridge Caverns is the residing place for the Mexican free-tailed bats. It is a premium natural attraction for visitors and tourists. Natural Bridge Caverns is also registered on the National Register of Historic Places.
