This palace is located at 130 meters from the Lhasa valley. This is the greatest monumental structure with the 170 meters raised structure. Its construction work was started during the region of 5th Dalai Lama at 1645 and at 1648 the Potrang Karpo or the White Palace was completed. Another palace’s name is Potrang Marpo or red Palace which was completed between 1690 and 1694.

The Leshan Giant Buddha is a gigantic Buddha statue which is carved out of a cliff face. This huge statue is one of the best tourist places in china. It was started to build in the year of 713 during the Tang Dynasty. The construction was not completed by till 803 due to thousands of sculptures and workers. There are about 8000 soldiers, 130 chariots and 520 horses with 150 cavalry horses. The sculptures were found by a local farmer through digging a well at 1974.They are the soldiers of the first emperor of China Qin Shi Huang, from 221BC to 206BC.They were buried here in 210 BC.
